Casa Mahj at The Mother Ship brings the community together to play classic American Mahjong for any level - whether it’s your first time at the table or you already know your way around the tiles!

Hosted on select Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, each gathering is designed to feel welcoming, social, and easy to step into.

LEVELS OF PLAY:

Mahj 101: Foundations of Play - A guided introduction to American Mahjong designed for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their fundamentals. Hosted at The Mother Ship, this structured lesson by Casa Mahj walks you through gameplay basics, strategy, and table flow in a social, welcoming environment — giving you the confidence to step into open play with ease.

Mahj 102: Guided Open Play - Designed for players who know the basics and want to practice real Mahjong gameplay in a relaxed, social setting. Hosted at The Mother Ship with instructor support nearby, this experience allows you to build confidence, improve flow, and enjoy live play alongside the community.

Mahj 103: Unguided Open Play - Offered on select evenings for players who know how to play Mahjong, and would like a more competitive pace of game. This level of play is unguided but for players looking for a social game in a fun environment.

Due to demand and the nature of the evening, all sales are final, but you are welcome to give your seat to a friend if you are unable to attend. Email leadership@hypeboss.com if you are assigning your ticket to someone else.
